You Can't Code This!

Updated: May 19, 2019

Who agrees that life is about finding joy, peace, and being passionate about the things you do? While I'm passionate about technology, and enjoy innovative solutions, there is more to this luxe tech than meets the eye. I have a myriad of interests, and love Pinterest. In tech, I'm highly organized, which has led to increase in productivity by creating clear documentation, and anticipating possible inquiries regarding specific software and best practices. My Pinterest boards are an extension of that. On Pinterest, I organize other things that are important to me. Each tech is unique, and may have geeky interests, or simply be able to geek out over their interests. For me, that includes interior design. I love the feeling of putting a room together. It is important that your living spaces be optimized to serve their purpose. If you need relaxation when you come home, first do what is necessary to create that atmosphere visually. Scents and sounds support this idea. Diffusers and melts are a great way to add fragrance to a space to evoke the feeling and tone you want to create. I use wireless speakers to saturate spaces with relaxing or festive music, depending on my mood. In recent conversation with my mother, we talked about our interior design processes and styles. While she has a keen eye for building from inspiration pieces and creating a room around that, I work "backwards". I like to close my eyes, and visualize an entire room. I see the lines, and how the space is filled with the larger pieces of furniture, then narrow down to the tiny design elements and charming pieces that give the room a personality. Use elements in your space that inspire you. If you need to be reminded of things, add a peg board if you're nostalgic, or digital notification center in the form of an LED writing board if you're really high tech! I'd like to invite everyone to explore my Pinterest board titled The Luxe Tech Interiors. (you can use the Pinterest icon on any of the main pages to go there) It has sections that contain items for each particular room's inspiration. While you're there, think about what your personal design style is, and one item you could add to your space to make it luxe. You can't code this. You don't "git" a life, you create and live one. Enjoy!
